    Bruce Ricker, D.O., was born and reared in Mt. Ayr, Iowa. He graduated from Mt. Ayr Community High School, the University of Iowa and the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Ricker had a family practice in Phoenix, Arizona, for twelve years before returning to Ringgold County in 1996. Board certified in family practice and hospice/palliative medicine, Dr. Ricker believes in a holistic approach to patient care.     Michael Magers, D.O.

    In July of 2002, Dr. Michael Magers began his family practice at the Mt. Ayr Medical Clinic. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Magers completed his residency at the Medical Center of Independence, Independence, Missouri, and graduated from the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kansas City, Missouri. He is board certified in family practice and osteopathic manipulative treatment through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. Dr. Magers provides emergency room coverage for Ringgold County Hospital in addition to seeing patients at the Mt. Ayr Medical Clinic.

    Brad Wilson, D.O.

    Brad Wilson, D.O., grew up on a farm near Clearfield, Iowa, and graduated from Mount Ayr Community High School in 2003. He attended the University of Iowa, where he earned his undergraduate degree in psychology. He later attended medical school at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. Dr. Wilson then returned to Iowa to complete his family medicine residency at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He joined the Mt. Ayr Medical Clinic in August of 2015 and his interests include sports medicine, mental health, geriatrics, pediatrics and preventative care.

    Nicole Wilson, D.O.

    Nicole Wilson, D.O., grew up in the Chicago suburbs and attended the University of Iowa, where she earned her undergraduate degree in international studies. She later attended medical school at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, before returning to Iowa to complete her family medicine residency at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Dr. Wilson joined the Mt. Ayr Medical Clinic in August of 2015 and enjoys women’s health, pediatrics, sports medicine and dermatology.

    Marcy Gregg, ARNPMarcy Gregg, ARNP
    Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetic Educator
    Marcy Gregg, ARNP, is a native of Clearfield, Iowa. She graduated from Southwestern Community College in 1985 with an associate’s degree in nursing. Marcy began her career at RCH in 1986, working as an RN in acute care. At the same time, she continued her education, earning a bachelor’s degree, followed by a master’s degree in nursing from Graceland University. Marcy began working as a family nurse practitioner for the Mt. Ayr Medical Clinic in 1999 and is certified by the American Diabetes Association as a diabetes educator.

    Ron Schafer, PA-CRon Schafer, PA-C
    Physician Assistant, Wound Care Certified
    Ron Schafer joined the Ringgold County Hospital in 1990, working as an EMT while he continued his education. In 2000, he began serving as a physician assistant with the hospital and the Mt. Ayr Medical Clinic. Ron focuses primarily on family medicine but also enjoys providing emergency room coverage. Ron received certification in wound care and provides care for chronic, difficult-to-treat wounds. Ron also makes house calls within 20 miles of Mt. Ayr for Mt. Ayr Medical Clinic patients who are home bound.

  • Ed Wehling, D.O.Ed Wehling, D.O.
    Dr. Wehling is board certified in general surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He received his medical degree from Arizona State University and Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, Midwestern University, Glendale, AZ in 2002. He completed his residency training in general, thoracic, and trauma surgery at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, and his fellowship training in vascular surgery at the University of North Texas, Dallas/Fort Worth.

    Dr. Wehling has extensive experience in general and thoracic surgery, endoscopy, modern vascular and endovascular techniques, vascular access procedures, wound management, and Level One trauma management.

    Dr. Wehling and his wife have two sons and live on a farm near Mt. Ayr, Iowa. He has a passion for the outdoors and loves to hunt and fish.

  • Michael Webb AuDMichael Webb, AU.D.
    Dr. Michael Webb, Au.D. is an audiologist and second generation business owner of ASI Audiology Clinics. Dr. Webb specializes in helping patients understand their hearing loss and accepting treatment with the use of hearing instruments. He sees patients at Ringgold County Hospital Visiting Physician Clinics twice a month on Tuesdays.

    Dr. Webb received his B.A from the University of Florida in communication of sciences and disorders and his doctorate from San Diego State University and University of California San Diego.

  • Enrico Martin, M.D.Eric Martin, M.D.
    Dr. Martin joined Iowa Heart Center in November of 2007. He holds a medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines and completed his residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Dr. Martin completed his cardiology fellowship at East Tennessee State University and his advanced cardiac CT/MR fellowship at the University of Florida at Shands. Before joining Iowa Heart, Dr. Martin was the director of cardiovascular imaging at Rockford Cardiology Associates in Rockford, Illinois.

    Dr. Martin enjoys spending time with his family and getting to know people.

    Jean Schmitt, ARNPJean Schmitt, ARNP
    Jean Schmitt, a native of Holy Cross, Iowa, joined Iowa Heart Center in 1990, and completed her nurse practitioner training in 2006.

    Schmitt holds a nursing diploma from St. Lukes School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids. She later completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing at Graceland University in Independence, Missouri. Schmitt practices in Iowa Heart Center’s clinic at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

    Dr. Patrick Chua graduated from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Manila, Philippines, in 2004.   • Homedan_ShehadaShehada Homedan, M.D.
    Shehada Homedan, M.D., is a specialist in orthopedic care. A native of Jordan, he completed the rigorous orthopedic surgery program at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, followed by an orthopedic trauma fellowship at the University of New Mexico Hospital, and an orthopedic adult reconstructive and orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

    Dr. Homedan became interested in orthopedics while doing his first surgical rotation. When choosing where to practice, he and his family found rural Iowa to be attractive, prefering it to the more crowded, fast-paced life of the city. He is joined by his wife and three children. He is an avid soccer fan and enjoys playing and competing in soccer matches.

    Dr. Randy J. Metzger, DPM of Corydon, Iowa graduated with his Bachelor of Arts and Biology from Simpson College, Indianola Iowa. He then went on to Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Metzger did his residency at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. in the podiatric surgical resident rearfoot, reconstruction and ankle surgery program. He is certified in the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Metzger is available at Ringgold County Hospital’s specialty clinic twice a month the first and third Monday of each month.

    Ann Nelson, PA-C, received an undergraduate degree in genetics from Iowa State University and graduated as a P.A. from Des Moines University.

    She lives in Greenfield, Iowa, with her husband, Brad, and their two young children, Annika and Matthew. Brad farms and Ann enjoys helping with the row crops, hay and cattle.
