Mount Ayr, IA – Ringgold County Hospital is pleased to welcome new therapist, Lindy Johnson, LMHC, to the Senior Life Solutions program.
RCH’s Senior Life Solutions program is an intensive outpatient group therapy program designed to meet the unique needs of individuals typically 65 and older experiencing depression or anxiety related to life changes that are often associated with aging. As a program therapist, Lindy Johnson, will be responsible for providing therapeutic services for patients utilizing group, individual, and family therapy sessions.
Lindy earned her degree in Clinical Counseling from Central Methodist University and began working as a school-based therapist, serving children battling post-traumatic stress, depression, and anxiety. Most recently, Lindy worked for their family nonprofit, providing counseling and support services to children and families experiencing trauma, grief, and loss.
Johnson said, “While my background has primarily been working with children, I have always valued the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and support individuals through life’s challenges. I am excited to join the Senior Life Solutions program because older adults have incredible stories, strengths, and resilience. I look forward to helping them overcome obstacles, celebrate their successes, and improve their quality of life through compassionate, personalized care.”
