Physician Biography

Dane K. Johnson, D.O., is board certified in general surgery and provides general and gynecological surgery services with an emphasis on laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures. He is a native of Dallas, Texas, and earned his undergraduate degree at Southern Methodist University. Dr. Johnson received his medical degree at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his surgical residency in Phoenix, Arizona, where he also opened a practice.

In 1997, Dr. Johnson moved to Mt. Ayr and established his surgical practice at Ringgold County Hospital. He is interested in actively demonstrating that specialty health care can exist in a rural environment and politically promoting the osteopathic profession.

Anesthesia Services

Dave Moffitt, CRNA, and Deloris Stutzman, CRNA, from Greater Anesthesia Services of Southwest Iowa, join the RCH team as needed to cover all surgical, endoscopy, and miscellaneous cases requiring anesthesia services.

They provide general, spinal, and regional anesthesia services. Dave and Deloris are also trained in intravenous sedation, pain management using epidural steroid injections, and trigger point injections.
