Dr. Ahnen is trained to provide diabetic foot care and wound care. He also treats heel pain, bunions, hammertoes, ingrown nails, and painful corns.

Physician Biography

David Ahnen, D.P.M., is a native of Iowa. He grew up in West Des Moines, Clive, and Greenfield. After graduating from Greenfield High School, he went on to Simpson College in Indianola to earn a BA in Biology. Following Simpson, Dr. Ahnen trained as a medical technologist at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He then earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines.

Board certified in foot surgery, wound care, and primary care, Dr. Ahnen provides a variety of services through the Bethany Foot and Ankle Clinic. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, fishing, and playing slow-pitch softball.
